I’m very excited for you to learn from her as well. We talk about Islam and why Muslims love both the religion and Mohammed so much. I don’t focus so much that new believers have to read the Bible every day on their own. It’s more important to me that they are reading the Bible together in a group and that that happens consistently. During the Bible study, though, there is a lot of memorization of the text. As Westerners, we often have issues with memorizing and totally skip it. But in my experience, that is very important for the spiritual growth of the people I disciple. I want them to have the text we read in their heart and apply it to their lives throughout the week, and share it with the people around them. Maybe what they need is this one text they have learned, to take that for a week, meditate on it through retelling it and obeying it, and when they pray, pray through things they learned in the text. And I think we reach more depth doing this than having a daily reading of four chapters a day.
