Maybe back home, when our relationship with God is going down, we’re paying less attention to it, we’re putting less energy into it, we can escape thinking about it. We can focus on our studies or focus on our work. Maybe attend a cool conference, get our faith challenged, pushed up, and get excited again. And that doesn’t work here.
