What we did was different. This is where I found that having a practical ministry in which we actually demonstrate the truth of the Gospel and God’s love is so crucial. Many of the parents of children with disabilities we worked with when they saw how we interacted with their child and how we accepted them, loved them, worked with them, touched them even, they would say, “Wow, what you do is really different. No one else has shown love to my child.” And through that we could talk about the God who loves the child with disabilities.
