The Practical Missions Podcast

Pod # 47 The practice and theology of Single and Married on the field

I long to see the body of Christ have a very high view of marriage and a very high view of singleness.

Today on the Pod, I have a powerful conversation with the co-author of the book Sacred Siblings. We cover the theology of singleness, the value of singles and marrieds on the field, assumptions and expectations, and many more issues singles and marrieds face in cross-cultural missions.

Singles actually point people to God in a way that marrieds don’t. We all know what marriage represents to the world. We’ve probably heard ten thousand sermons on that. And it’s good. That’s a very good thing. I don’t know of a Christian who couldn’t tell you that. Most Christians know that and have heard it over and over. But can you tell me what a single person points to?
